Quinta da Lagoalva de Cima is a natural area of unique beauty that extends along the south bank of the Tagus, about 2 km from Alpiarça.

Its historic, human and agricultural features give visitors a remarkable experience of senses and experiences linked to the country side.

Its history dates back to the 12th century, when the king of Portugal, hands over these lands to the Order of Santiago de Espada, after their heroic deeds in the conquest of Santarém. It belonged to this order for 6 centuries. With the 2nd Count of Palmela, Quinta da Lagoalva de Cima belongs to the Palmela family, until today.
