Quinta Vale de Fornos is one of the oldest and most striking in the Tagus region, and since the 19th century it has been producing wine.
Located 35 km from Lisbon, in a place of great natural beauty, among its pine forests and vineyards are born wines of exceptional features, internationally awarded.
Quinta Vale de Fornos felt the need to evolve from traditional wines estates and adapt them to new markets, such as China, Brazil, Colombia, Canada, Belgium and Poland, among others, and currently exports 40% of its production.
The revitalization project of Quinta Vale de Fornos started by implementing 40 more hectares of vineyards, including national and international grape varieties such as Fernão Pires, Arinto, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer in the white varieties, and Syrah, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Castelão, Alicante Bouchet, Caladoc and Baga for the red varieties.
During the second phase, the renovation of the secular cellars will be made, so as to adapt them to the oenological demands of today, keeping the traces and records of its origin, becoming one of the ex-libris of this estate.
